Living on a Budget

So this year since I have a wedding to pay for I'm trying to be on a very strict budget. January for me is exam month so I did allow some extra expenditure (naughty me). There are some things I'm allowed to spend money on such as hair cuts, but no getting my nails done or buying new make up.

For the past couple of years I was an avid Acrylic Nail user and would spend around £50 a month getting my nails done, but now that is no longer allowed I need to find other ways to keep my nails in shape. I regularly use Almond oil for my cuticles which I get from work ( at The Body shop) and love their Almond oil cuticle pen. I am also going to try using Sara from SWalkerMake-up's tutorial on how she does her nails which can be found here.

The next thing I'm not going to do is buy any new make-up or skincare item unless it's to replace something....This is so hard with all the lovely new products coming out. So what I'm going to try and do is "shop my stash" I have drawers full of opened and partially used products- alot from work that I half use and move onto something else so that is going to stop and my aim is to have cleared the drawer by the end of the year.

One thing I'm allowing myself to carry on getting is my GlossyBoxes. ( I still need one treat). There's a great facebook page for people to use if you receive something in your box that you don't like. Which can be found here. Its great even for people who get boxes other than GlossyBox.

I will more than likely keep updating on these blogs as I continue my quest for budgeting.
