My love affair with.....Liz Earle cleanse and polish

About a month ago I decided that it was time to try a new skin care product. My skin had been awful and constantly breaking out along my chin and jaw line. That's when I decided to order the Liz Earle cleanse and polish after reading and watching numerous reviews on blog and you-tube.

I ordered the 50ml pump starter set which came with one muslin cloth. I believe I paid around £8 something for this. Delivery was roughly £3. When I received my parcel I opened it to find the moat wonderful gift inside another 30ml tube and muslin cloth. So I got 80 ml for the price of 50. I was extremely happy with this as it was a complete surprise.

50 ml pump bottle- I seem to have misplaced my 30ml tube.....

So onto the product itself. It's a wonderful creamy consistency which has a lovely herby smell to it. It's a very relaxing smell actually. You put it on a dry face and rub it in, this can be done over makeup too. It's super gentle on the eyes and my eyes can be very sensitive. I rub it in to my eyes extremely gently and it melts every last bit of mascara. I then run the muslin cloth under warm water and massage my face with it. This takes off the cleanser, makeup and gently exfoliates dead skin cells.

the product - very creamy!

Since using this for the last month my skin has suffered from less breakouts and oilyness seems to under a lot more control. I adore this product and with definitely be repurchasing along with some other skin care treats such as toner and moisturiser.

I also received 2 muslin cloths with my order but they are in the wash!

All in all a must have product for any skin care junkies out there.

I got engaged!!!!!!!!

My fantastic boyfriend.....sorry Fiancee proposed to me last week and I am super duper excited about the wedding. I can't wait to start planning! So my blog may become a little bit about wedding plans in the run up to the big day as well as hair and make up things.

I have been so excited in buying wedding magazines to help me prepare for our big day and to help get some ideas for the wedding itself.

So far we have a date and an idea about where we would like to get married but nothing is set in stone just yet.

I will keep my blog updated in the mean time.

Look of the day. 6th September 2011.

Eyes: sleek natural palette taupe all over lid and conker in crease and outer v. Mac haute and naughty mascara.

Face: estee lauder double wear in desert beige. The body shop honey bronzer in 03 and mac blush in dame.

Lips: sleek pout paint port on first then mind over the top to tone it down.

Such a quick simple look. If I had more time I would have popped on a bit of eyeliner along the top lid and maybe studied some shadow along the lower lash line.

I love using neutral colours and the sleek nude pallet is a great affordable all founder when it comes to colours and variability.

I hope you like.

My love affair with.....KMS California hairstay

I really enjoy using this product which I received in my August glossybox. I will definitely be repurchasing.

What they say: " use this foam to liquid formula for natural movement and bounce or to boost the performance of styling products. Formulated with iops technology pomegranate and pepper to provide heat protection and an viable style foundation for all hair types"

What I say: this product definitely gives bounce to the hair. I feel that when I use this product my hair is shinier and does sit a lot better even when it has only been blow dried. I also find that I can go an extra day between washes before, which for me is still only every other day but my hair is super oily normally.

Have any of you tried it?

Lush skincare

Last week I went to a Lush store to have a look around. A very friendly sales assistant came over to help me. I t  old her about my problem skin...Its normally oily but has been getting dry around the cheek and nose areas. She suggested that I needed to balance my skin out which was indeed true. She suggested one of Lush's fresh face masks. She tried 2 on the back of my hands Oatifix and Love Lettuce. Both of these were very nice although i preferred the feeling of Love Lettuce which contains lavender, crushed almonds and kaolin. It's exfoliating, soothing and balancing in one mask. She then used breath of fresh air toner this is a fresh and calming toner and helps make my pores smaller and my skin clean and refreshed. I then had Imperialis moisturiser applied again this moisturiser is balancing and leaves the skin soft and not oily or dry.

I have now been using this regime everyday (the mask twice a week) for the past 2 weeks and my skin has improved considerably. It is now soft and not overly oily. The mask is great as a mask and exfoliation in one which saves me time in the morning. I am now in love with my new Lush skincare regime I will certainly be trying more skincare products from them.

First post!!

So this is my first post on my new blog! I have no idea what I will be using this blog for. Probably some sort of  reviews of beauty products, books that I'm reading maybe some great deals that I have found and just some rambling on about anything and everything.
